If there is one thing I've missing a lot for the past days, it is definitely the chance to ramble everyday. I am not getting that privilege lately. Why? Let's just say the topics that could be discussed and the people to talk to, are limited.
As you have noticed, I haven't posted entries lately. You are completely blind if you haven't! Considering the flies feasting on my stale entries, my blog is slowly turning into a garbage dumpsite already! A cyber garbage dumpsite. Actually, I've have been trying to come up with a very sensible post. It's just that whenever I get this urge to write and I feel that my creative juice pitcher is filled with freshly squeezed creative juice, everything vanishes from the moment I touch the text keys of Hewey Parker. (FYI: Hewey Parker is my laptop. C'mon, the etymology of the name is quite obvious :-D) Well yeah, another reason is that I am just too lazy to inform everyone how boring my life is right now! Hahaha. But don't get me wrong, I am still not missing school! (but I miss my blockmates!)
I have this previous entry (Something New) wherein I enumerated some of my goals for 2009. Well, here's the thing: I was able to do one already! Yehey for me! Haha. I finally had the chance to clear the clutter which have been suffocating my cabinet for quite sometime. Imagine, some of my highschool stuffs are still with me?! I was able to sort everything - from college notes, to photocopied cases (new and old), to useless pieces of papers. Everything went to their proper places. But if there is one thing I haven't solved, and that is what to do with the photocopied cases - should I keep them for future references or should I just recycle it (aka turn it into a notepad)? Help :-)
Speaking of cases - I am really bothered with the way the police are acting on the issue of Ted Failon. The things I learned (yes naman!!) in Crim2 and Consti2 suddenly came running through my mind when I heard the words "warrantless arrest", "probable cause", "custodial investigation", and the "rights of the accused". Personal biases aside, I think the police team are violating some constitutional rights. I am actually surprised with the way they are handling the case. From what I have seen in the video footages, they were acting as if they were the law. Yeah, we have to remember dura lex sed lex. But they should also take note that the rights of the individuals (so called by them as their prime suspects) should also be respected. Imagine the way they dragged the "accused for obstruction of justice" into their patrol vehicle; and the way they arrested the brother-in-law of Failon, who, according to them, committed Direct Assault (which he really did not since they did not anymore pursue with filing a case against him for such). I just hope the way they are acting on the issue is not for the purpose of getting back against Failon. I heard that he previously bombarded the QC police team with negative commentaries for their failure to immediatelty act upon the carnapping incidents in QC. I guess they should also brace themselves for a number of cases involving moral damages that could be filed against them. Oh constitutional rights :-)
On a lighter note, I was able to watch Gossip Girl already. Finally. So I could now react whenever the topic will be about "xoxo, gossip girl". While watching the series, I found myself noticing that some of the characters resemble some of my friends. Serena and Blair's friendship really reminds me of something ;-) If you would ask which character resembles a bit of my persona, I would have to say it's the character of Dan. The ramblings and sarcasm, the way he managed to adjust to something which he is totally new with, and the way he showed that a good boy isn't good all time time - yeah, it somehow reminded me of a person I know - me.
I have to end this rambling already. Till next time... hopefully very very soon! hahaha :-)
